I remember when things were NOT this way. The removal of the Fairness Doctrine and the rise of the Rush Limbaugh/Fox News contingent has wreaked considerable havoc. People readily embrace ridiculousness and lies, sometimes because those things are presented as the truth and they don't know they're lies.

It has resulted in us becoming contentious and truth-averse, and neither of those things is good or healthy. If Trump wins, we'll quickly discover that things can be worse than they already are. I desperately hope that does not happen.
