I absolutely adore this piece. I have the same sort of pessimistic view of it all as you seem to. So long as there is money to be made and power to be accrued, we the people will continue to be an afterthought and merely pawns in their games. One person, one vote should be the standard. As fractured as things are, I still retain a spark of hope, foolish though it might be, that we will emerge from this chaos and build something better. That is my hope.
