Yesterday was horribly busy, but I felt pretty accomplished by the end of the day. The only frustrating part of the day was towards the end of my weekly phone conversation with my friend Aearwen when her phone suddenly cut off. Maybe it was Spirit telling me that I'd been on the phone long enough, but suddenly it was dead air. I phoned her back and left a message on her machine, we'll figure it out eventually, but it was probably time for us to stop chatting anyway. It's amazing how fast the time goes when I'm talking with her :-)

Studio Day - So Much To Do, Oh Boy!

I have so much to do today. I did get two items finished yesterday, one of the last two B2ME stories and my poem for LOTR Community which will be revealed on the 16th. I have one last B2ME story to write, a drabble for the week, and I MUST edit some things for Iris (I have a large note on my desk so that I don't forget).

More Car Troubles

My car is fine (knocking on the nearest piece of wood) but DH's is not doing so well. He was noticing serious leakage so I arranged for us to drop the car off at the repair shop yesterday, hoping that it was a loose gasket or whatever (I'm not so knowledgeable about cars). They cleaned it up and took it out for two test drives and came up with the conclusion that it is something they can't do - a transmission problem. *sigh*

Jury Duty and Surgery Update

So things progress. I need to find one single report for the accountant that I didn't have (grumble, growl). I had everything else perfectly organized, just one was missing. So now my financial life is sitting in two grocery bags in front of my closet until I get a day off to put everything away properly. More mess for my room *sigh*.

So Days Off are Merely a Carrot and I'm a Donkey?

I was supposed to switch days off with my Manager this week which would give me today off and I would work for him tomorrow while he has several doctor appointments. But he's sick. I'm feeling more human, although still sick too, so I'll work today for him and tomorrow for him. Thinking that maybe with a lot of luck I'll have Thursday off because I have an art project due Friday and just barely enough time to achieve it. Maybe. If the stars are in alignment. And if I make appropriate sacrifices.

Tax Dragon - Should I Be Running?

So, Tuesday night we have our appointment with our new accountant for our personal tax return. Our previous accountant we had for 20 years, there was a comfort level there that we really liked. Now it's rather like stepping off a short cliff. It won't be life-threatening, but it is going to be more uncomfortable because we won't automatically be talked through the details. I haven't gathered anything together. Anything. I am planning to work on things tomorrow, and I know it won't be enough time. Bad me. But I'm just not in the mood and when I'm not in the mood to do something I can push things to the background extremely well - shove things under the bed in essence.

An Extra Day...But For Tax Prep

I got a lot of writing done yesterday and today's prompt should be fairly easy and short so I'll be caught up again :-) But we've had fabulous weather for the past several days. The weather people say that we're running about a month early with our Spring. I'm loving this, although I hope that we won't get an extra long and extra hot summer as a result of this. But right now, temps in the upper 60's and lower 70's when our average would be 40's - this is wonderful!

How many hours do I have?

Today is my "day off" and the list of things I have to accomplish today is longer than my height (relatively speaking). Oy! I have to call the accountant and get appointments set for the company and the personal income taxes to be prepped. I have to go to two different banks - one just for a deposit, the other to return and re-order checks that were printed incorrectly (sigh). I have to go to the art supply store (this one is at least a fun errand) and get the brush pens I promised to buy for my DH. I have to go grocery shopping, I have at least two loads of laundry to do, I also need to get a mail order into the mail.

Relaxing Weekend

 I had a very relaxing Sunday.  Caught up with my current stories, I have two being looked over by my writer's group right now, and I also got one posted to a monthly contest.  That last one won't be able to be public until next month.

The Prancing Pony in Bree is quite large with many
entrances and a huge bar area.  Here you find Strider,
and other characters necessary to move on in the game.

The Tolkien Weekly challenge for this week (Spiders) has me stumped, but I know that won't last long.  Things are already starting to move through my head as possibilities. 


To be honest, when I have a nice quiet weekend, I don't have a lot to report on my blog.  But, I'm really not having any problem with that since I've done plenty of complaining over the past few weeks, so it is a relief to not have anything to qvetch about :-)  I hope you also had a wonderful weekend and I wish you a calm and quiet week to finish your income taxes if you have not already filed them.
